INTERNATIONAL FOOD PROTECTION TRAINING INSTITUTE (IFPTI)
UNVEILS NEW WEBSITE
Nation’s Emphasis on Food Safety Highlights Need for Institute
BATTLE CREEK, Mich., Jan. 6 - The International Food Protection Training Institute (IFPTI), the leader in delivering career-spanning, standards-based food protection training, today announced the launch of its new and improved website: www.ifpti.org. Increasing demand for IFPTI’s training programs necessitated the website’s overhaul. In 2010, IFPTI trained over 1,100 food protection officials from 47 states. Working with FDA, IFPTI is building the training infrastructure for the national integrated food safety system.
IFPTI’s website has been updated with a new layout and added features. The new website allows easy access to the 2011 Course Schedule, training updates and course registration. The site also boasts media updates and a new social network portal for visitors to discuss food safety issues on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube.
“The new website is the centerpiece of IFPTI’s expanded online presence,” said Joan Bowman, Communications Director. “Whether you are registering for courses, learning about our latest news and events, or joining the current food safety conversation through our social network; the time spent on our website will be more efficient.”
