Please mark your calendar for our 57th Annual CCDEH Conference

Location: Mission Bay Hyatt [BOOK YOUR ROOM HERE]
Dates: September 4-7, 2012 right after Labor Day.
Your Conference Chair, Richard Sanchez chose the theme "MEASURING SUCCESS"
So for new Directors and all Directors, How do you Measure the Importance of attending this conference? Why should you put such importance on this Conference?...here's why:
1. This is the ONLY Conference where all the Directors and Associate Members of Environmental Health of every County in California attend annually. This is your
chance to meet everyone and learn from each other.
2. Once a year The Conference puts together an Action Plan and makes Policy Decisions as a group.
3. To engage with your Professional Association and interact with each other.
4. To get the most current Legislative and Real Time current information.
5. To have Face to Face Human contact where important discussions take place.
6. To get Important exchange of hot current topics.
7. To hear about all the "Excellence of Environmental Health Programs" going on the last 12 months and to see what County had the best idea. These are Program ideas that you may want to take back to your County to implement. To learn from each other.
8. To build strong professional relationships. Networking breaks down barriers and develops trust in the organization where you can get support from.
9. To Develop Transparency.
10. To Develop Social "Identities".
11. To have Side-line conversations that you would not get at the office or on a conference call.
Other Measurements:
CCDEH has had more New Directors and Associate Members in the last two years that need mentoring and we encourage everyone to attend the New Members meeting Tuesday September 4th at 11am. and CCDEH encourages everyone to attend and to plug into the committees of interest.
Last year we had the most attendance at the CCDEH conference in history (except the 50th Annual Conference when all the Past Retired Directors attended).
CCDEH has more Legislation to track than ever.
CCDEH has offered more training in its history and has offered REHS Continuing Education Contact Hours through CAEHA. This Annual Conference is intangible and will give you more insight, current knowledge of the issues, good social meals and technical current measurable insights that will enlighten you, encourage you and build up your enthusiasm for your work and will provide measurable significance to your programs that you can take back to your office and share with others.
The attached is a draft program agenda. The CCDEH Conference Committee is working on each program and updated program agenda's will
