Cost is $25.00 per attendee and includes an REHS Certificate of Completion to be emailed to attendee by April 15, 2023 and after a training evaluation has been completed. A zoom link will be sent to registrants prior to training from Sheryl Baldwin at sheryl@ccdeh.com.  After the training complete a Webinar Course Evaluation from the link below.

Training Educational Objective: To introduce Environmental Health Specialists to changes to the California Retail Food Code from SB972, as well as interpretation and implementation of the new regulations. Training Educational Description of what will be taught: SB 972 adds Cottage Mobile Food Operations as a type of Mobile Food Facility, and specifies specific construction, operation, exemptions, and enforcement standards for this new type of Mobile Food Facility. This training will cover the implementation of the new regulations, as well as construction requirements for this new type of mobile food facility operation. There will also be a forum for asking questions at the end of the training.

Trainers:
Graciela Garcia, R.E.H.S., Community Services Manager, Ventura County Resource Management Agency Environmental Health Division. Graciela Garcia is a Registered Environmental Health Specialist in the State of California and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental and Occupational Health from California State University, Northridge. She is currently one of two managers for the Food Consumer Protection Program with the Ventura County Environmental Health Division, where she has been employed for over 21 years. Graciela is currently the Chair of the Mobile Food Facility Subcommittee which is part of the Southern California Food Technical Advisory Committee. She is also a CEHA Past President and served in the Environmental Health Specialist Registration Committee with CDPH for 8 years.

Valerie Strother Supervising REHS, Alameda County Department of Environmental Health Consumer Protection. Valerie Strother is currently a Supervising REHS with Alameda County. She started with Alameda County in 2007 as an EHS trainee and became registered in 2009 and became a supervisor in 2015. She enhances her career by actively participating in BAFTAC, MFF Roundtable, CEHA and teaching food safety class for the county. Prior to her career with Environmental Health. Valerie graduated from SJSU with a B.S. in Nutrition and Food Science.
