The City of Vallejo is currently recruiting for the newly created position of Environmental Services Manager in the Public Works Department and will have the exciting opportunity of developing and managing environmental programs for the City of Vallejo, including stormwater quality, air quality, sustainability, and recycling. This position will lead the planning, development, analysis, coordination, implementation, and administration of:
· STORMWATER QUALITY MANAGEMENT
· AIR QUALITY MANAGEMENT
· RECYCLING & SOLID WASTE
· MUNICIPAL SUSTAINABILITY
· INTERNAL CLIMATE ACTION PLAN
Additionally, this position will provide leadership and guidance to City staff on the implementation of stormwater pollution prevention policies and procedures to ensure Citywide NPDES permit compliance; evaluate air quality impacts on proposed development projects and local rules and programs in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); advise the Public Works Director on other environmental programs related to maintaining compliance with other general federal and state requirements; supervise and oversee the recycling programs for the City of Vallejo; and perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
