Environmental Health Departments in California protect public health, enhance safety and safeguard the environment by delivering Local Environmental Health Programs. The California Conference of Directors of Environmental Health (CCDEH) membership is comprised from the Environmental Health Directors from 62 jurisdictions, including all counties and 4 cities. Associate membership is open to all Environmental Health professionals (Membership App). Members of CCDEH are also members of the California Association of Environmental Health Administrators (CAEHA), which is the legislative arm of CCDEH. CAEHA also administers contracts for Environmental Health software with Decade Software and other service providers.

The CCDEH annually elects an Executive Committee that is comprised of four officers, six policy chairs and four regional representatives. A This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. CCDEH's four regional and nine policy Committees serve at the direction of the Executive Committee (and the EHS Registration Committee that is led by the CA Department of Public Health). Meeting dates can be viewed on the CCDEH Calendar. Awards are given each year to the Manager of the Year (at CEHA AES) and Excellence in EH (at the annual conference).

CCDEH holds an annual meeting at which its officers are elected and organization priorities and positions are established. CCDEH is an affiliate of CSAC and CCLHO. CCDEH also works closely with the Cal-CUPA Forum, CRFSC and CEHA. We also regularly partner with AllTech Services and Nettop Publishing (our webmaster).

CCDEH also offers several products for sale, such as the well known Disaster Field Manual, CCDEH Posters, REHS Career Guide, Salary Survey, CalCode and the CCDEH Poster.
